In the inaugural session of a six-day teachers’ training camp organised by the MTB at the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) headquarters, Mr.Tanveer Ahmed spoke about the modern changes in the teaching and learning process and pedagogy.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Shaikh Azimuddin, former Dean of the Department of Education, Integral University, Lucknow, explained in detail the purpose of the camp. He also appreciated the services of the former secretary of the JIH Department of Education, the late Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed, in the field of education.
Stressing the need for the teachers’ training camp, the chief guest of the programme, Prof. Dr. Anisur Rehman, lauded the MTB for organising it.
The training camp discussed topics like the philosophy of education, educational psychology, teaching method, pedagogy, planning, new learning trends, digital learning tools, teacher’s organization, training of guardians and parents, and the New Education Policy. Experts and educationists from across the country, especially Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and SCERT (SCERT), delivered lectures on different topics and shared their knowledge and experiences with the participants.
Giving their feedback and suggestions in the concluding session, participants from different states lauded the camp as very useful. They requested the officials of MTB to conduct such camps in the future too.
The camp convenor, Prof. Azimuddin, submitted a complete report on the camp. The chief guest of the closing programme, Prof. Ilyas Hussain, said that such training enhanced participants’ knowledge and experience and developed new tendencies in them.
Presiding over the closing session, JIH Training Department Secretary Maulana Waliullah Sayeedi Falahi guided the teachers in the light of the Quran and Hadith. The teachers’ training camp started with the recitation of the Quran by JIH Secretary Dr. Raziul Islam Nadvi. Mr. Salimullah Khan proposed a vote of thanks. All the participants of the camp were given a certificate of participation.
