Kolkata, 02 Jan. 2022: Cutting across religious lines, leaders of different faiths have taken out a joint protest march against the Haridwar hate speeches under the West Bengal’s interfaith platform, the Dharmik Jan Morcha in Kolkata.
Interfaith leaders including Ramkrishna Mission’s Swami Pranabananda Giri, Buddhist Monk Dr. Arun Jyoti Bhikkhu, Father Francis, Guru Tasnim Sing and Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) West Bengal President Mr.Abdur Rafique have held a joint press conference at the Press Club, Kolkata to denounce the recent Dharma Sansad at Haridwar, where open calls for genocide of Muslims were made.
After the press conference, these religious leaders along with other dozens of people took out a protest march demanding to arrest Hindutva leaders including Yati Narsimhanand, who delivered anti-Muslim hate speeches. They also demanded Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to resign from the post.
