Both CAA and NRC are aimed at  ethnic cleansing: P Mujeeburrahman

Aluva: Assistant Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Kerala – P Mujeeburrahman stated that both CAA and NRC are aimed at ethnic cleansing. He was inaugurating the public meeting held at Aluva at the end of the protest rally against the CAA and NRC organised by the Jamaat-e-Islami, Ernakulam District Committee. He further stated that these protests are not merely against CAA and NRC but it is a movement to regain India’s freedom by removing the forces of the Sangh Parivar from power.

Political analyst NM Pearson said that this is the first agitation since the freedom struggle that the people of our country has taken up politically and pledged to be part of it till the end of their lives.

Solidarity State President, Nahas Mala opined that the government is extending their oppressive policies in Kashmir to the entire country.

Activist KK Baburaj said that this agitation is nothing but the second independence movement and that it was Muslims who initiated this struggle.

Jamaat-e-Islami, Ernakulam District President, MK Abubacker presided over the event. Author Balachandran Vadakedath, Activist Advocate Madhusoodanan, Delhi University leader Rania Sulekha, MLAs Anwer Sadath and Ibrahim Kunju, Rev. Fr. Binu Samuel, Abdusalam Maulavi Onambilly and many other prominent individuals addressed the gathering.

Jamaat-e-Islami, Ernakulam District General Secretary, KK Salim welcomed the gathering and program convener TK Abdul Salaam delivered the vote of thanks.
