Latur (Maharastra): “We have to change ourselves to revolutionize the world” said Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Amir, Jamaat e Islami Hind, addressing the Training camp of Local and District Presidents, State Secretaries and members of the Advisory Council, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Maharashtra in the presence of close to 300 attendees which included 80 girls and women.
He also reiterated that we are striving to bring about a change in every sphere of life under the guidance of divine law and added that it is a long and tedious process which demands consistent efforts despite possible failures in this world. It, therefore, requires our firm relation with Allah through Ibadaat, like Roza and Namaz. We need to be closer to Allah than to fellow human beings to get the strength required for this Herculean task. Describing the training system of the Islamic Movement, Maulana Syed Jalauddin Umri said, “Our system is based on Qur’an and Sunnah. We like our associates to attain piety through the way prescribed in the Qur’an and shown by our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH.”
Speaking on the topic of Islam and the West, Dr. Rafat, Secretary, Tarbiyat said, “Ideologies like Capitalism, Communism and the flawed Western Culture were put forward as an answer to the illogical concepts of Christianity and the atrocities meted out by the Church. However, since these ‘answers’ have proved to have been a failure, Communism, today, is close to its logical death and Capitalism shall soon follow.”
The Atheistic Western culture remains the biggest challenge, Dr. Rafat said. “Nudity and Consumerism are the biggest menace of modern society, which are the result of the materialistic outlook of this culture. This social malaise demands our urgent attention.” Religion is vigorously been labelled as an out-of-fashion concept today, but we have to prepare our youths for the World Islamic Mission, Dr. Rafat added.
The participants, under the guidance of Secretary General, Nusrat Ali, debated issues like ‘Training system in the modern scenario’ and ‘Ideological similarity in thoughts: what why and how’. Explaining the role of Local and Districts Presidents, Nusrat Ali Sahab said, “In general, each President must be a Murabbi, especially for our associates, a Manager to execute policies and programmes and a leader to solve the problems of the society.
In the course of this 3 day camp held from the 3rd to 5th of November, the participants used to wake up before dawn and offer Tahajjud. Darse Quran and Darse Hadees were organised after the Fajr prayers. They used to come together in small groups under Muraabis in the evenings to memorise Duas. The participants, who hailed from different parts of the state, got to know each other through interactions and exchange of ideas.
On the sidelines of the programme, Maulana Umri met Ulema and Imams of Latur, as well as the local press, besides meeting with JIH Maharashtra’s Advisory Council, Women and Girls Wing Members. He also delivered a sermon in the masjid at Latur.
The last session “Mere Azaaim” was a demonstration of the take away of the camp in which the rufqa spelt out their future mission and determination in carrying out Jamaat work with greater zeal and determination. They were clearly inspired and motivated by the various speeches and programmes in the Tazkiya camp. This acknowledgement proved that Alhamdulillah the camp was a huge success and the planners and organizers thanked Allah for making it so. Everybody could feel the light of iman and taqwa glowing in their hearts and after making Dua, set out to their respective destinations with renewed energy and enthusiasm for discharging their “Deeni” responsibilities.
