Foundation stone of HRD Institute building laid at Jamaat-e-Islami Hind campus

New Delhi, 18 Jan.2021: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Sadatullah Husaini today laid the foundation stone of Shafi Monis institute of HRD building at the JIH campus here in Okhla.

 

Speaking at the function, the JIH President said, “our elders, especially former JIH vice president late Mohammad Shafi Monis had a dream of a large campus of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind that has now come true. Now, with the construction of this building, the Jamaat will have the opportunity to carry out some key developmental activities. For the success and stability of any movement or organization, it is necessary to carry out research works and efforts should be made for the development of the abilities of the workers and members. Both these works will be done through this institute.”

 

In his introductory remarks, JIH Vice President Mohammad Jafar, said that a part of the HRD building would be dedicated for public utilities.

 

Explaining the aims and objectives of the institute, director of the HRD department, Mr. I. Karimullah, said that evolution and growth of various skills of the cadre would be done through the institute. For this purpose, he said, “various courses and training programmes will be conducted throughout the year. The HRD department was established for the expansion of the learning and practical abilities of the members, workers and associates of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind during the last four-year term. This institute is first step in this direction.”

 

Speaking on the occasion, son of late Shafi Monis, Mr. Jalil Asghar, said, “my father’s vision is being fulfilled in the form of this building and it is being inaugurated today in the vast campus of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.” It will be a five-storey building with basement. Several other JIH leaders also participated in the programme including Assistant Director of HRD Department Atiq-ur-Rehman.
