JIH Youth Wing hands over house to poor lady

Belthangady, December 8:  A house built at the cost of Rs 1,60,000 was presented to a poor lady by Youth Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind at Janata Colony, Munduru. Belthangady MLA Vasanth Kumar Bangera inaugurated the formal programme arranged on the occasion by handing over the keys of the house to Aisamma.

Speaking on the occasion Bangera said that it is in fact the government’s responsibility to identify the poorest of the poor in the society and solve their problems. But this work is being carried out by JIH Youth Wing. Under its programme “Hunger free society’, it has identified the poor in the society and is providing Rs 1000 every month to about 150 families. The government does the same but after taking ration money but Youth Wing is doing it free of cost. Such works of identifying the poor and helping them should be carried out in a greater magnitude, he said, while wishing that JIH scales greater heights in the future.

Muhammad Kunnhi, District Convenor, JIH Youth Wing, in his introductory address said that service to the poor is following the path of the Prophets (pbut). Service to the needy is an inseparable part of religion, he said.

Belthangady Block Congress President Harish Kumar, Melanthabettu Gram Panchayat President Vimala Melanthabettu, Tanneeru Pantha Gram Panchayat President Qasim Alike, Zilla Panchayat member K K Shahul, expressed their good wishes on the occasion.

Raheem Ustad recited the Qirath. Khateeb of Hawwa Masjid Bolangady carried out the dua. JIH Zonal Convenor Abdussalam U delivered the valedictory address. Ameen Ahsan compered the programme and delivered the vote of thanks.
