New Delhi, May 25: A three-day conference of state leadership including state presidents (Umara-e-Halqua) began today at the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind at Abul Fazl Enclave, with the keynote address of National President (Ameer-e-Jamaat) Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari.
In his address, Ameer-e-Jamaat said with emphasis: We need to assess ourselves and our organizational work in view of the four-year program and targets we had planned. The developing and smaller states should follow the examples of states where Jamaat’s work is at high level. The advanced states should try to excel and improve upon areas where we are weak.
Ameer-e-Jamaat further said that though we have done a significant work on various fronts like, awareness in women, but we should analyse how much impact we have to be able to create on Indian society as a whole. Two years of the term has passed, we need to plan how we can achieve our targets in remaining period of this term i.e. up to March 2015.
The program started with recitation, translation and commentary of Quranic verses by Maulana Rafeeq Qasmi, Secretary, Islamic Society, JIH.
